The consulting group is led by Brandon T. Maxwell, a nationally recognized, prolific DEI trailblazer with nearly two decades of experience as a senior executive, strategist, and trusted advisor to industry leaders. 

“Ensuring people from historically minoritized populations is in my DNA; I come from a long line of community organizers and advocates for social change,” said Brandon, noting his family history of championing DEI in communities and organizations. “My grandfather, Henry Chester Maxwell, Sr., fought for DEI before we had that language,” he reflected. “He worked tirelessly to ensure Black and brown children in Metro Nashville Public Schools had equitable access to education and is widely credited with being the primary catalyst for integrating that school district.” Brandon also noted that it was important to recruit people who understood that DEI is not new; rather, it is an extension of the work initiated by abolitionists, suffragists, queer activists, and liberation workers throughout time.

LaTeisha Elliott, DBH, is a clinical researcher with a doctorate in behavioral health and a consultant with Mas Haus. Dr. Elliott brings 22 years of experience in healthcare, grant writing, program development, education, and community advocacy to the collective.

“When invited to join Max Haus, I agreed without hesitation,” exclaimed Elliott. “As a licensed psychotherapist, I have helped clients navigate personal and professional challenges stemming from a lack of DEI competencies in their workplaces,” Elliott continued noting the importance of an “integrative and intersectional approach to DEI that considers both human and organizational psychology in every client engagement.”
