LaTeisha Elliott, DBH

Consultant (she, her)

Hello, I’m Dr. Elliott – but friends call me Teisha. I am a licensed professional and certified rehabilitation counselor with over 20 years of experience in public and mental health and advocacy. My specialties include grant writing, program development, community engagement, and substance abuse assessment and treatment. For over a decade, I served as the Director of Prevention at one of the largest HIV/AIDS organizations in the Southeast. In recent years, I have led Alabama Partners for Health, a non-profit specializing in capacity building for community organizations. I have also served as principal investigator for several state and federal grants funding prevention efforts for HIV, Hepatitis C, substance abuse, and women’s health.

For me, DEI is about helping people who live on the underside of our society and the organizations that serve them. I have expertise working with healthcare providers in optimizing their operations to serve their clientele better. I look forward to helping you write/administer your next grant or develop a program that helps you more effectively activate your organizational mission.
